It is a mineral of the sulfate class and of the AXO4 type. Chemically it is barium sulfate (BaSO4). It is the main barium ore.
It is included in the same group as celestine (SrSO4) and anglesite (PbSO4). With celestine it forms a series of solid solutions, gradually replacing barium with strontium.
The main copper sulfide minerals are chalcopyrite (CuFeS2), chalcocite (Cu2S), covellite (CuS), bornite (Cu5FeS4), tetrahedrite ((Cu,Fe)12Sb4S13) and enargite (Cu3AsS4).
The most important iron minerals are: hematite (Fe2O3), limonite (Fe2O3), magnetite (Fe3O4) and siderite (FeCO3).
Carbon, CaCO3 Calcium Carbonate.
Rhodium sulfate, Rh2 (SO4)3.
